Before Nailelf came into existence, nail art was a contradictory affair—we longed to express ourselves through colors and patterns, yet found ourselves spending hours in salons, enduring the pungent smell of chemicals, or settling for cookie-cutter designs. Even more frustrating was watching those temporary artistic expressions gradually wear away with nail surface abrasion, as if they had never existed at all. The Nailelf journey began with an "imperfect" adventure. In 2020, founder Elena was planning her wedding when she discovered that none of the press-on nails on the market could match the pattern she had hand-drawn for her wedding dress. When she sent a small piece of her dress fabric to manufacturers, she received only crude imitations two weeks later. That moment made her realize: nail art shouldn't be about compromise, but rather an extension of self-expression. And so, like an acorn touched by magic, Nailelf sprouted from a garage workshop in Shenzhen, China. We believe that every woman—whether you're an office worker typing away at a keyboard or a super mom preparing lunch for your children—deserves the freedom of "zero-compromise" nail art.
