3D Kennzeichen

Our 3D license plates have been manufactured from premium materials since 2013 and define a new standard in the license plate industry. The company is based in Passau, the Lower Bavarian city where three rivers meet, and is not only the sole manufacturer but also the patent holder of 3D license plates. All 3D license plates available online are produced by 3D-Kennzeichen GmbH. In 2011, inventor Dr. Michael Bauer developed the basic idea for vehicle license plates made of high-quality and robust plastic. After three years of development, the 3D license plates have been available since autumn 2013. With individually applied, precisely shaped 3D letters, the new license plate appears more three-dimensional than the less defined embossing of conventional metal plates: This is how the name 3D license plate came about. Another new feature since then is that our plates are available with various surface finishes.
