AgfaPhoto, the origins Initially, Agfa-Gevaert focused on the production of photographic plates. Over time, the company expanded its product line to include photographic film, photo paper, laboratory equipment and chemicals. It quickly became one of the leading companies in the photographic sector. In the 1930s, Agfa-Gevaert developed the first colour film to be sold in Europe, the famous Agfacolor.
